You may not realize it, but the Girl Scout Cookie Program is the largest girl-run business in the country. It’s more than a fundraiser; it’s a unique, hands-on way for girls to develop essential life skills such as decision-making, business ethics, money management, goal setting and people skills.
From January 20 through the end of March, Girl Scouts in Monmouth and Ocean counties will sell Girl Scout Cookies in the community. A key element of the Girl Scout Cookie Program is the Gift of Caring. Through this component of the product sale, the Girl Scouts of the Jersey Shore donates boxes of Girl Scout Cookies to the United States military and The FoodBank of Monmouth and Ocean Counties.
Girls who would like to participate in the partnership agree to do the following:
- contact the council before contacting the restaurant to ensure the restaurant is only contacted one time, by one girl/troop
- pick up and deliver, from the council, Gift of Caring supplies for your restaurant as needed
- collect donated money from the restaurant on a regular basis (ideally once a week)
- report and deliver donated money to the council on a regular basis
If you are interested in participating, please complete the following form and tell us the restaurant that you would like to contact.
