| The Girl Scout Cookie sale begins Friday, January 15. If history is any indication, more than 12,000 Girl Scouts in Ocean and Monmouth Counties will be selling cookies to their family, friends and neighbors. The important part of the sale isn't the selling however, it's what girls learn and how those lessons last a lifetime. Over the past several years, Chelsea Masterson, a Gold Award recipient, has sold the most boxes of Girl Scout cookies, 1,800+ last year and 2,000+ the year before. Now she's an adult Girl Scout and an assistant troop leader. Comcast Newsmakers recently interviewed Chelsea about the opportunities provided to her by Girl Scout Cookies.
